Survey shows vast majority in Yorkshire and across UK don't pay inheritance tax

A new survey shows that people in Yorkshire look set to leave an average inheritance of £146,446.

Labour's Chief Secretary Liam Byrne said:

"This survey just goes to show the vast majority of people don't pay inheritance tax.

"The Tories need to explain why, in difficult times, they are prioritising a tax giveaway of £200,000 for the richest estates and nothing for 98% of the population."
